All MAS APS incorporate certified 99.99% HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters and UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation). JCAHO standards now in effect state that virtually all "critical care" areas in the hospital environment must meet these new standards for any major renovation or new construction. We can upgrade or create negative pressure (airborne infectious isolation rooms-AIIR), positive pressure (protective environments) rooms. This includes pharmacy compounding areas (CSP), surgical suites, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, angioplasty and other special procedure rooms. All of our APS systems can be configured for simple room recirculation. MAS designs and manufactures mobile, ceiling mounted, interior duct mounted, exterior (roof/slab) mounted medical-grade APS units. Custom units for larger or specialty applications can be designed and manufactured upon request.
Additionally, MAS can
conduct room/area surveys to evaluate your negative or positive room's performance and
make recommendations of any remediation required. Call us at

Compounding of Sterile Preparation (CSP) cleanroom/buffer zone to meet ISO 7 (Class 10,000)
and the anteroom to meet ISO 8 (Class 100,000) or ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) requirements
required by the USP <797> standard. The compounding area’s
primary function is to provide a safe “work environment” around the ISO 5 compounding unit
(barrier isolator). This is accomplished by providing monitored, 99.99% HEPA filtered, controlled laminar airflow within in the buffer zone(s) and
anteroom. We commission the area to ensure the air changes per hour, room
differential pressure and all other facets of the room meet the USP <797> standards.
Additionally, when the installation is complete, we in-service appropriate
personnel on the proper maintenance of the installed equipment. We provide the
design, line drawings, equipment and building materials for the ISO 7 “clean
room” environment and ISO 7 or 8 “anteroom” or “ante-area.”
MAS
guarantees all equipment, materials and instrumentation we provide, as well as
the installation via our “approved” installation contractor, meets the presently
written USP General Chapter <797> guidelines and standards. MAS further
guarantees that this installation will pass any governmental or authorized
private agency inspection (such as, State Boards of Pharmacy, JCAHO or other
authorized agencies) up to within six (6) months of the installation’s initial
commissioning by MAS or its assigned agents, provided that air balancing
changes to the MAS specification have not been made or the sealing of
walls and ceilings (when installed by MAS) have not been altered.
Medical Air Solutions, LLC
certifies all equipment and or materials delivered for the HEPA air purification
systems utilized in this above described upgrade have been visually inspected as
well as tested to confirm delivery of stated specifications prior to shipment.
Such testing and inspection documents are available upon written request.

Cleanroom Building Materials, Sputum Booths and Pass-throughs Medical Air Solutions (MAS) can supply cleanroom walls and
ceilings for an application in the healthcare facility. These systems are
specifically designed for use in any area that requires a cleanroom environment. MAS can provide German designed and
manufactured interlocking, air-tight wall panels and doors for construction of
wall modifications when upgrading CSP areas. The panel frames are
constructed of anodized aircraft aluminum composite. The upper wall panels
are either clear acrylic or polycarbonate for visual clarity between rooms.
The lower half of the wall is constructed of black or white PVC acrylic. Our cleanrooms require air-tight specially
designed cleanroom ceilings. The heavy duty suspended frame holds white
enameled metal ceiling panels (either 2' x 2' or 2' x 4') which incorporate a
gasket which is held in place with metal clips to assure no air leakage or
contamination of the ISO 7 environment. The above systems are also utilized in
our ASSB500 Sputum Booth. This sputum collection booth provides the utmost
in safely collecting samples. Our all-stainless steel pass-through
models (from the simple basic model to the more elegant large multi-door,
multi-shelved units) are
ideal for moving drugs, syringes and other items in the compounding area of the
pharmacy. They all incorporate dual interlocking doors. We can make
a pass-through any size or configuration for your specific application.
MAS also can provide refrigerated pass-through systems.

Chemical Terror Preparedness
These customized high grade specialized systems can filter and destroy poisonous
gases, lethal pathogenic contaminates, airborne compounds and chemically break
down compounds such as Sarin and VX that may be used in a chemical attack.
High-grade HEPA filters
and Photo-Catalytic
elements in these units will prevent the spread of the vast majority of elements
that may be used by terrorist intrusion. These large systems incorporate
motor/blowers up to 10,000 CFM or more.
We also incorporate gas
filtration media that can be formulated to work against organic vapor, acid
gases, ammonia and its derivatives and hydrogen sulfide. Since many toxic
or noxious gases can be captured by activated carbon impregnated with oxidizers,
our units are highly effective in capturing these gases.

Specialized Buildings/Area for Pathogen and Chemical Protection
Construction Air Purification and Cleaning These APS units and HEPA Vacuums will sanitize and remove pathogens and particulates from work areas where either new construction or renovation is taking place. Hospitals are required to address this problem when performing their ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) during the planning phase. Click here for more info CORAD A - CORAD B - CORAD C Medical Air Solutions has developed three (3) CORAD (Complete Operating Room Air Delivery) systems for surgical suites. Each system is designed for the ascending classes as defined in the AIA (2007) “Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Health Care Facilities”. The definitions of these classes are:
We can retrofit an existing OR to meet the current design criteria at an affordable cost. We perform before and after air quality testing as an option to show the effectiveness of the upgrade. UVGI Equipment
